Fly Me to the Moon

Fly Me to the Moon was made in 2014 after volunteers and participants were inspired by their recent trips abroad, they wanted to build on their experience of being in “strange land” and lack of understanding different cultures.

“Two girls struggling to make sense of the world, dare to dream that they can fly to the moon and play amongst the stars. One night they dream so hard it happens.

An allegorical adventure into space, each world sparkling with extraordinary characters, full of life and wonder, each world reflecting back a surreal vision of the world we live in.”

Fly Me to the Moon combined circus with clowning to giggle and puzzle at this crazy world, and how much crazier the alternatives might be.

Fly Me to the Moon was first performed at the 26th Rencontres du Jeune Théâtre Européen, Grenoble, France in 2014 and was re-worked and performed in various venues across Aberdeenshire including Drummers Corner – Peterhead, Fraserburgh Academy and Portsoy Scout Hut.
